Black Mental Matters addresses the mental health disparities in the community by providing advocacy and awareness through programming and resources. Black Mental Matters provides a “Voice” to groups and individuals within the community in need of mental health resources who are underserved and under-represented.

Vince “The Voice” Bailey hosts the weekly broadcast of Black Mental Matters. Vince has the tough conversations with guests around topics concerning mental health within the black community.
Vince has personal stories relating to mental health and the impact that it has had on his life and the lives of his family. His experience gives him the compassion and empathy to speak with and advocate on behalf of those currently working through mental health challenges.
According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, approximately 30% of African American adults with mental illness receive treatment each year, compared to the U.S. average of 43%.
